Odessa Ciklum Speakers' Corner - Unity Night
On February 6, an unprecedented event will be held in the Odessa office of Siklum within the framework of Ciklum Speakers' Corner - Unity Night!
The world-famous leader in the creation of gaming platforms, the company Unity Technologies (http://unity3d.com), is ready to open its doors to all comers. Company employees from Denmark and Finland will share the secrets of developing one of the best game engines in the world.
What will be told on Unity Night?
1) Building Quality
Speakers:

This presentation will focus on what we do to make Unity, as a product, and as a company, awesome. Kasper and Elvis will talk about the automation team, as well as the tools and frameworks that we use for automated testing. Agnieszka will talk about our approach to manual testing, and how we will engage our user community in the process of producing a high-quality product.
2) Unity Test Tools
Speakers:
• Dmitriy Mindra / SDET, Odessa
• Tomek Paszek / SDET, Denmark
Automating game testing is not a trivial task, especially when the game itself was not created by the person being tested. To facilitate this task, we have released Unity Test Tools. These tools are based on our own experience and best practices in test automation. In their report, Dmitriy and Tomek will make a brief introduction to the Unity Test Tools and demonstrate their use for testing games.

3) Automated performance regression testing
Speakers:
• Sakari Pitkänen / SDET, Finland
• Yan Drugalya / SDET, Odessa
In a daily development routine, it is easy to allow performance degradation and only be detected after release. In an effort to make each next version of Unity better than the previous one, we created performance tests that “look after” the strategically important “developer” and “release” development branches. In this report, Sakari and Yang will tell you what kind of data the performance tests tell us and how they are used to identify and analyze the regressions. ”
