European Space Agency ESA presented a video of the awakening of the interplanetary probe "Rosette"

On Habré already published the news that the interplanetary probe "Rosette", aimed at the study of the comet 67P / Churyumov - Gerasimenko, out of hibernation. Today there was a video with a demonstration of the "awakening" itself.

Of course, this video is a model, not a real video, but experts made this video as close to reality as possible by telling and showing where Rosetta is currently located. In addition, the project team reports that the probe is in excellent condition after 31 months of forced inactivity.

It is worth noting that the wake-up signal was a bit late, reaching the Earth 18 minutes after the expected time.

According to scientists, this delay is due to an unexpected reboot of the onboard computer "Rosetta", the cause of this incident is now being investigated. The positive point is that there are currently no negative points associated with this reboot.

Moreover, the device gradually enters the operating mode: the solar panels began to generate energy in sufficient quantities, all systems are normal. In the next few days, specialists will bring the device into a fully operational mode, heating the system and preparing the device orientation system.
