Respondu (in
Esperanto means “answer”) is rather a toy that we made with our neighbor (
raakha ) to entertain friends and ourselves.
The essence of the program is that the user is asked to guess any object, after which the computer tries to guess it by asking the user questions. If the computer is mistaken (the knowledge object does not have a hidden object), the program asks the user to name and briefly describe the hidden thing.
How it works?
Very simple:
Respondu builds a tree of signs, adding user answers to it, and a series of questions asked to the user is a simple walk through this tree.
')
Respondu is made on the
Python framework
Pylons , it took us one light day to design and develop.
A few words about hosting.
We chose
WebFaction.Com as a shared hosting
service , after an unsuccessful attempt to hover in the punk hosting
TopHost.com.ua (3-4 days after the payment it turned out that their admins have no time for us, and the technical support of the sites does not allow users solve this unpleasant problem by yourself).
We will be very
happy with your ideas about whether it is possible to
make something
sensible out of this project , what needs to be changed, added, and how to
implement cleaning the tree from debris .
Thanks to WebFaction for the fabulously pleasant communication with him (both with courteous technical support and with a great admin panel that allows you to deploy almost any "trendy" frameworks in a couple of moments), TopHost for a refund on demand and a mysterious Nop for the idea -)
