Lightpack. Unboxing and installation

Just yesterday I took the parcel from the post office in which there was a long-awaited Lightpack, which was bought on the kickstarter for $ 70 (this is including delivery). It was expected that he would be delivered to me last July, however, its production, testing and other processes took more time and he came to me only yesterday. Well, let's not blame the authors of the project for something, because I didn’t care much about putting it right here and I could wait. And if time is required to finalize the product and the quality will be excellent - then you can wait.



Lightpack itself is well made. Qualitatively, with a soul. Great design, great job. Fully met my expectations. Speaking about the price I will say boldly: worth every penny (worth every penny). The price with which he will enter the market ( they already said that the estimated price will be $ 120 ) is worth it.

He replaced my desk lamp. The light is soft and enough to work in the dark. There are light level adjustments. You can set the backlight to be the same color (average for all areas to capture). You can disable the screen tracking altogether and it will only shine with a white soft color. Or not white - you can set absolutely any color. Most of the settings in it are enough to fine-tune it.

Pros:

• The monitor is now not so sad. Now it glows beautifully :)
• Excellent quality and design;
• Easy to install (no more than 7 minutes);
• Easy to set up (Next-Next-Next-Complete).

Disadvantages (as critical, but from them Lightpack does not get worse - he does his job 100%):

• The backlight does not turn off when the computer goes to sleep, find what the problem was - go to sleep without problems;
• When setting the refresh rate to 10 ms, the processor is heavily loaded;
• A lot of wires (but here I think have little change).

Thanks to the authors of the project! In my humble opinion - a great product!
