How often would you like to add in the request to Google the parameters of stolen: "... with a view of the sea", or "... with a capacity of more than 500 l / c", or "... the price is not more than 100 rubles"?

This is exactly what I never wanted, but it would be cool if the search engine understood such a request and filtered the result accordingly!
The principal problem here is that the traditional search engines are not limited to the subject of the search, but in order to be able to handle similar requests about skates and little jigs, you need a system that knows everything about everything.

These requests can be answered by “vertical” search engines. The trick is that they work in a well-defined domain. For example, they are looking only for fox terriers or only galoshes. But about these same galoshes they know everything and allow you to set all sorts of specific parameters.

We started the development of just such a thing - a search engine for vacancies. But not a simple search by text, but a search with filtering is no worse than on specialized job sites.

Today we launched the alpha version of emply.ru , a vacancy search engine that collects vacancies on all Russian-language (so far) sites, including both employer sites and bulletin boards.



The principal difference from the most popular job search tools - bulletin boards - is that we do not limit ourselves to our base. We index job postings like classic search engines using spiders. But at the same time, we classify the vacancies found by a variety of attributes, allowing them to be finely filtered. Now there is no search by text at all!

You can search for vacancies by entering a request in simple Russian, for example, “an accountant with knowledge of 1C in St. Petersburg from 40,000 rubles” or in broken “pragma java masque”.

Now we understand that although there is no end to the work, it’s time to show the first results to people, to get feedback.
