According to him, “the Internet provides an opportunity for terrorist organizations to reach out to a huge audience to promote their goals and ideology, exchange information, including visual information in the form of maps, military and technical documentation.” Therefore, special attention in the joint work of the media and special services "must be given to countering the so-called information-oriented extremism," the deputy secretary of the Russian Security Council added.
