Commercial space "trucks" continue to work, and quite successfully. Thus, the first launch of the commercial space cargo ship Cygnus took place back in September, when about 700 kilograms of clothing, water, food and other payload were delivered to the ISS.

Today, at 22:07 Moscow time, this spacecraft was launched for the second time. The docking of the “Cygnus” with the ISS is scheduled for Sunday. If all goes well, Cygnus will dock with the ISS at 16:00.

At this time, the spacecraft must deliver astronauts 1.3 tons of payload, including scientific equipment, clothing and food.

It should be noted that this launch was supposed to take place on December 19, 2013, but the launch was postponed due to problems in the cooling system of the International Space Station. After the astronauts eliminated all the problems, the launch was scheduled for January 9, and this time Cygnus was launched (despite the fact that this month the launch was also postponed, twice - due to bad weather and high solar activity ).

The space truck itself was developed by Orbital Sciences. NASA and Orbital Sciences plan to launch the ship seven more times in the next three years.
