Many businessmen notice now high market prices for salaries of programmers. What to do if there is no such money? I decided to analyze the Indian labor market in the direction of "PHP-programmer" and compare it with Russian prices.
Several Indian sites were examined for salaries.
The study is very small and approximate. I have taken the number of vacancies in the last 30 days that are marked with the keyword “PHP” and assume fulltime work.

I assumed that the humps on the graphs more or less correspond to the normal distribution. I combined them. Extreme cases - very large and very small wages are not considered. Here is the final table of correspondence of php-programmers' salaries (all figures are in rubles / month):
Russia | India |
---|
10,000 | 5208 |
15,000 | 7813 |
20,000 | 10417 |
25,000 | 13021 |
30,000 | 15625 |
35,000 | 18229 |
40,000 | 20833 |
45,000 | 23438 |
50,000 | 26042 |
55,000 | 28646 |
60,000 | 31250 |
As you can see, the Indians are ready to work for amounts 2 times smaller. The hourly difference with Moscow (+2.5 hours) is quite tolerable.
Another question is whether you are ready for the disadvantages in other respects: 1) Communicate only in English 2) and even with a representative of a different culture with your problems ...
