The Japanese company Softbank, which owns the divisions of Yahoo Japan and Vodafone Japan (under the Softbank brand), has entered into an agreement with Fox Interactive, owned by News Corp and the owner of
MySpace . The parties agreed to launch a Japanese version of a well-known online service.
The stake in the newly formed division of MySpace Japan will be divided in half between Fox and Softbank, and the startup will develop mobile and web versions of the MySpace portal,
