PlayStation Now: games for PlayStation on a tablet, TV, smartphone

It seems that Sony's new-generation gaming console is not the most important gaming product of a Japanese company. Today an interesting game streaming service PlayStation Now was announced, which opens the world of console games for owners of smartphones, tablets and even televisions. This service will work on PS4, PS3, PlayStation Vita.

The new service is a “descendant” of the technology Gaikai, bought by a Japanese company in 2012. A new gaming service was demonstrated at CES, and the closed beta will be launched in the US later this year. In summer, the service will be expanded, so that more gamers around the world will be able to try it out.

Actually, the technology is not something new, because earlier both Gaikai and some other services have already provided their users with the opportunity to play modern games on almost any device, if there is a broadband connection to the Network. However, sometimes delays negated all the advantages of this method of playing. It is likely that the Japanese corporation will do everything to reduce these negative aspects to a minimum.

In this case, the user gets the opportunity to play all the PlayStation-games on smartphones, tablets and even TVs. Of course, the console from Sony will also support the new service, but this is not the point anymore.

Initially, the service will be available for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, then - for the PlayStation Vita, a little later - for the modern Bravia TV. The service will offer full versions of games, of course, not for free. You can pay for each individual game, or pay a subscription.

Unfortunately, at the beginning the service will be available only for the USA, and later - for Europe. But it is not known yet when it is “later”.
