Pebble introduced metal watch
The first news from CES 2014 is already beginning to appear. For example, Pebbe in its broadcast (you can watch the recording) presented a version of its watch in a metal case - Pebble Steel.
The new version has a steel case, and is available in three different versions (they can be seen on the title photo). In any of them the body is made of steel:
And as glass is used Gorilla Glass:

Something else was said about the new charging connector, let's hope it will still be better to keep in touch than the previous one.
Declared full compatibility with old programs. This is understandable, since only the body has undergone changes, the iron remains the same.
On the one hand, this is of course not what some users hoped for - a version that will have some cool features not yet. But on the other hand, Erik Migikovsky and earlier refused to plan to release a new version in the near future, saying that the company first of all wants to develop the ecosystem. This is right - I prefer the watches, which are regularly updated, than the need to buy a new device every year.
However, I really like the metal watch, and I still have to spend the money. By the way, the first photos of them leaked a couple of hours before the broadcast:
This model will cost $ 249 - $ 100 more expensive than plastic. Already available for order on the official website, although the situation with the delivery to Russia is still incomprehensible.
They also presented the Pebble AppStore, which, however, was the secret of the polyhenel — it was announced to developers just a few weeks ago (I also received an invitation).

AppStore will appear, however, only in the second version of the firmware - that's what they said about it. Apparently, not everything has been debugged for launch, although initially they wanted to launch it at the end of this year.
