Habr is growing daily, all the time there are new blogs and every day - several articles.
Finding information is becoming more difficult.
I think for those who have ever tried to find something not very specific, I do not need to invent examples and arguments to prove that the search is not perfectly organized. You can search only for a substring, there are no search modifiers in the string (I didn’t find anything about it in Help), you can’t search only in the headers, you cannot select specific hubs for the search.
In addition, the orientation in the hubs is also difficult. For example, to find if I subscribe to the Android hub, I first need to guess to reveal the “show settings” in the center of the subscription. Then guess where the Android hub sits. "Iron and gadgets"? Not. "Telecommunications"? Not. And, it turns out he is in "Software." To do this, I had to open each section and view the hubs available there. After all, the list of hubs is loaded via Ajax, so here Ctrl-F will not help.
If in fact improved search and navigation through the hubs are available on Habré, but I missed them - please indicate this.
And based on the assumption that they are not there anyway, I propose to discuss the following:
1) improve the search. Make a separate page for "advanced search", where you could select the options "search only in headlines" or "only in text" or "only in comments". In addition, one could select the list of hubs in which this search should be performed.
2) to make something like a “map”, where the list of all hubs would be expanded and everyone could find the necessary hub and the section to which it belongs instantly by Ctrl-F.

It may be possible to combine both sentences.
