Something like this can be titled things that I have been doing in my free time for several months now. After Russification
of the CakePHP manual, I started translating documentation on another framework into Russian.
The idea came to my head suddenly, when handing over another freelance website made on my own CMS, I came across a wonderful framework. At that time - the end of summer 2007 - several articles and a single resource were written about him in Russian. Now I can hardly remember what influenced my decision, but I registered the domain, began to painstakingly translate the material ... Gradually it turned out that I overestimated my strength: I had less free time, I was tired of the text more and more. The project was a shame and I hired a freelancer. As it turned out - it was a big mistake, because the deadlines were tightened, the text translated disgustingly.
Someone else's translation had to be reigned for a long time, without bringing it to an acceptable state. Documentation for the later released version of CakePHP 1.2 has already translated itself, devoting less time, but at least regularly.
And what was the whole story about? .. And besides that, at the end I got involved, I liked it. And it doesn't matter that for the sake of the project I had to take a dedicated server (I will not be cunning, not only because of this project, but I would not have taken it without it) and that someone regularly knocks on Asya asking stupid questions about the framework. The main thing is that I felt not the creator of a couple of dozen clones with the same functionality, but a kind of knowledge provider with an attendance of 300 people per day.

Today I want to submit the second documentation, the work on which I am leading - the
CodeIgniter framework . Of course, that the forum, wiki, etc. also appear, but a little later.
Attention, question! Do you need all this? Is it worth it to indulge novice programmers who are lazy to learn English; Is it worth it to interfere with the birth of ideas, dividing people into two (considering other countries - more) camps? Answering these questions to myself, I say this: you need to be interested, interested in Russian material - they will go to look for the rest. What do you think?
PS By the way, there is something to say thanks to
