General moral post :)
It so happened that I moderated the IT forum and periodically because of the moderator’s cap, I communicate with antisocial elements who know better how to behave online and are confident that the moderator is, by definition, “a loch sysadmin from the basement with a salary of $ 300” (these were quotes).

Ban, as a tool, for me the measure is extreme, I do not like irreversible steps. In my moderator life, I try to adhere to the principles of the universal moderator (intellectual robot EZHE-list ): with a kind word and suggestion to convey thoughts about how to live and communicate in our forum. It does not always help, in the course of the user goes the abuse with the moderator in the mail. Stupid, I will report to you, an occupation — anyone who has moderated at least something for more than 1-2 months ceases to be conducted on any provocations and lazily shrugs off the yelling. If a person turns out to be more than stubborn - he flies out from the forum and the doors (registration) are closed for him: there are mechanisms in the forum for this :)
But sometimes they come back! :)
Hackers, for checking, turn out to be people sandwiched between two IP-shniki (home and work) and closing these two addresses can often be enough to simply shoot unwanted registrations. I come across such “boomerangs” a couple of times a month, everyone thinks that he is unique, everyone thinks that a new e-mail and signature from a fictional character immediately bleaches it in the eyes of a moderator who didn’t remember, who immediately rushed and opened the doors. Funny and sad. It is sad that even spelling errors and “proprietary” hacker signature remain the same.
Moral: you don’t have to crap even where you don’t plan to appear anymore - sometimes you have to and then you will be ashamed.
