Conversion Centered Design

In fact, this is just a continuation of the question from "Toaster", so the post is debatable.

Being an adept user-centered design, where everything is built on the fact that the user should be pleasant, comfortable, simple and fast, it became difficult for me to lay into this philosophy some facts. What is convenient to the user can adversely affect the profits of the business. And vice versa, some unpleasant user manipulative triggers increase profits. More precisely, they increase the conversion from lead to sale.

For example, by placing a naked woman on the site or fake reviews, we increase the conversion. Using the words "Action", "PUSH!", "Click" in the copyright we "combat NLP" act on the test subject directly into the unconscious against his will. I think they will agree with me that, from the point of view of user-centered design, this is not environmentally friendly or healthy. And it is clearly not a sample of cool UCD.

I thought that the problem lies somewhere in the conflict of aesthetics and the facts that affect the profit. He began to dig, and came across unbounce.com, who suggested (or maybe not they?) The concept of Conversion Centered Design . The principles are:

Here the presentation, for some reason does not open, can be opened separately .

Roughly speaking, in CCD, the focus shifts from the user's pleasure to the action required from the user, which is necessary for the business.

It would be nice if the samples of the awesome design from the point of view of the UCD did not infect the Internet more and more, chopping with the ax NLP into the hearts of the designers. This is probably the trend. At a minimum, it is important to understand conceptual differences and juggle them more consciously in design.
