HP is about to release a new UMPC laptop

The HP Compaq 2133 will be equipped with a 8.9-inch, scratch-resistant WXGA display, an Intel Penryn processor, an ExpressCard / 54 slot, a webcam, a wireless network adapter, and an optional SSD in less than 1.5 kilo anodized aluminum also almost full-size (95% of the standard) keyboard, reports Engadget.

The laptop will be equipped with GNU / Linux OS or Windows Vista.

It is assumed that, unlike the budget Asus Eee PC, the device will be positioned as a lifestyle accessory and will appear at the beginning of the second quarter of 2008.


True, cnews recently added that the approximate price for this model will be $ 630, which, given the size of its screen (and perhaps my somewhat biased attitude to products from HP), makes it a good alternative to umpc by asus
