Previously, it was called a pedometer. Now the pedometers have grown up, have grown up Bluetooth (it's better with Bluetooth!), Learned to count not only steps, but also calories and began to show results on the smartphone screen. Well, the name has changed backwards - now they are called proudly, fitness trackers.

We meet the star of this season - fitness tracker Shine, whose fame is running far ahead, and whose appearance in Russia is shrouded in an aura of mystery and bewilderment. However, hello.
As I said, Shine is a tracker whose creators decided not to balance on the narrow path of informativeness-energy consumption, and just went into the woods and had a picnic.
Shine is not able to show on the screen neither steps, nor calories, nor kilometers, he has no screen either. Pulse and fullness of blood with oxygen, he also can not measure. He does not know how to constantly keep in touch with the smartphone in real time so that your friends can see how fast you are walking. It even has a miniUSB port. It has no buttons!
But do not rush to close the page, my friends, hooked on the needle of the constant receipt of information. For Shine, as I see it, this is the first swallow, designed to remove us from another needle, the electric one. For all its minimalism, Shine has an undeniable advantage. He works. And it works up to six months from one CR2032 battery, the same as in your wristwatch (if they still have someone left).
')
Now seriously. Ay, does anyone else read me?
â–ş Appearance
Shine is such a gray button:

She has a magnetic mount on the elastic band:

Which she clings to clothes:

And there is a bracelet with which the tracker can be put on the hand. Or on the leg.

Along the circumference there are 12 luminous points (inside the LEDs), which show how far the current goal has been achieved with double tapping on the body:

The developers propose to fasten in several places: on the chest (collar, pocket or near the top button):

On the wrist with a strap:

On a belt (in a pocket or on a belt):

Or on the ankle with a bracelet or magnetic mount for shoes or trouser leg.

â–ş Software
Shine only works with the official program, which, however, is already available for iOS and for Android. But their functionality is slightly different. If iOS users can see both the achievements, the duration of each activity, and the sleep schedule, then Android users are content with modest statistics. However, since the program for Android was posted quite recently, and is updated quite often - most likely, all these functions will be gradually added to it.
To begin with, as usual, you need to register and enter your data into the program. In the settings you can choose in what units the distance and weight will be shown, you can turn on the slip tracker function, you can adjust the display of the clock by double clicking on the tracker. You can set a goal - the number of points you want to earn in a day.

These screens are about the same for both platforms. And there, and there you can specify the type of activity and the place of wearing the gadget.

You can see how many steps and kilometers are covered on each day of activity and how many calories are spent.

These indicators can be shared on Facebook - such a “social component”, which allows you to bring an element of competition, even in the counting of steps per day.
But then the differences begin. On iOS with a sweep up, you can see the statistics for the day in more detail - the number of activities, activity time and points earned. The green cup shows the place where you earned as many points as planned.

You can also change its type by pressing the activity icon until the end of the day — say, after a bike ride, activity can be changed from running to a bicycle — for more accurate counting of calories.

Android users of all this while deprived, unfortunately.

As pathologists say, the most important thing in a person is his inner world. I also think about gadgets. * Getting a scalpel * Let's start.
Although, we do not need a scalpel. Pretend we want to replace the battery with a gadget:

Open the cover with the included screwdriver:

And we will see a part of the inner world accessible to the ordinary user.

But we are not like that (We are all like that, but he is not like that!). We will go further. Pick up the plastic latch with something sharp:

And we have a fee on the palm:

There is nothing interesting on this side, except quartz and battery mounts. Turn over:

And here is the most dihalt
flesh . Although the marking is not googling, but I know that this is an accelerometer:

Here is the microcontroller. ARM Cortex-M3, 48 MHz, 256KB of memory, operating voltage from 1.85 volts.
Datashit , if anyone is interested.

BT-transmitter.
CC2541 from TI.

Go ahead. On the reverse side, if you remove the battery - a sticker. With the inscription "Minecrafted in corea".

We tear it off and see the magnet, the one to which the attachment piece clings.

Let's take a closer look at the part that glows:

Hard to see. And if you highlight?

A bunch of holes. Same on my laptop:

We recall that one of the founders of Misfit Wearables is John Scully, ex-General of Apple, and we understand where the technology’s legs grow from. The aluminum case, laser-cut small holes for illumination ... In general, whatever you say, this technology allows you to create indicators that are not felt and almost invisible when turned off, it looks very good.
And on the reverse side they are filled with some kind of compound. Tightness!

Farewell still life and proceed to the assembly.

By the way, if you pull out the battery, the progress for the current day is not saved.
â–ş Output
The bottom line - Misfit Wearables made a pretty good device, which finally does not require recharging. A bit upset is the incompleteness of the software for android, but hopefully it is a matter of time. And we are given a rather interesting puzzle - why should Yota bring a device developed by another company to the Russian market?
