For example, icons with Linux applications are placed in a menu on the Windows control panel, running programs are visible on the taskbar, certain types of files are linked to Linux applications in Explorer, each Linux application is opened in a separate window.



andLinux is based on two pillars: CoLinux (running the Linux kernel as a Windows process) and Xming (the X server for Windows). Two editions of the distribution are available, based on XFCE and KDE.
