The constantly growing number of users of different Google services is the reason for the no less constant growth in the number of company data centers. At the same time, data centers are opening in new regions to meet the needs of local users. So, on Wednesday, the first data centers of the Corporation of Good in Asia were opened.
A total of two data centers are open in two regions: Taiwan and Singapore. Last year, the corporation was planning to start construction in Hong Kong, but something did not grow together with the purchase of a plot of land, and the project was closed.
')
Data centers were built, as mentioned above, due to the rapid increase in the number of users in the region. “The number of Internet users in India has doubled, from 100 to 200 million people. In the United States, the achievement of such an indicator took six years, ”said Joe Cava, vice president of the data center management and construction company.
“From July to September this year, about 600 million people in Asia tried mobile search for the first time. And this, by the number of people - two Canada. And, most likely, such rapid growth will not stop in the near future, ”continued Joe Cava.
It should be noted that the constructed data centers can be called innovative
and nanotechnological , in terms of the number of implemented "green" technologies.
For example, in Changhua County, Taiwan, a data center was built that uses wind energy (a special wind power plant was built nearby). Investments in this data center will amount to 600 million US dollars (originally planned 300).

In addition, this data center uses a specific cooling system. At night, a reduced ambient temperature is used to cool the water, which is then collected in insulated storage tanks.

With the onset of the day, cold water is used in the cooling system, and the accumulated water at night is just enough for a light (and therefore warm) time of day. Thus, the data center from Taiwan uses much less electricity than in a normal situation.

As for the data center from Singapore, this project is very unusual from the point of view of traditional DC planning. The fact is that it was built in a high-rise building, which also houses the apartments of local residents and an elementary school. A giant robot weighing 400 kilograms is installed in the lobby of the data center. He built a local craftsman from ordinary scrap metal.
