The anniversary year for FastVPS is ending. In 2013, we turned 7 years old.
New Year is coming very soon - so today we have a pre-New Year excursion around the St. Petersburg office of FastVPS (although some photos will be from other seasons)
Indeed, we are always interested in photo reports on how many square meters and kilometers and with what comfort the giants of the IT industry have settled down: Google, Yandex, Facebook and so on. And what landscapes they have outside the window.
Of course, we are much more modest and simpler, but we have tried to create as comfortable conditions for our colleagues as possible.
The St. Petersburg office currently employs more than 25 employees, most of whom are support service specialists. In addition, here is the accounting department of the Russian division, the administrative department, the development department of the billing system.
The office is located at an equidistant distance from the Pionerskaya and Udelnaya metro stations, in a comfortable business center with all amenities.
Like, perhaps, any hoster, we are one of the few companies in the business center working around the clock. If you drive past 27/2 Verbnaya Street at night - look at the windows of the 7th floor - we will definitely work.
St. Petersburg support often consists of "fighters of the invisible front."
Guys and girls (yes, we have beautiful ladies in support!) From technical support are very shy and do not like to be photographed terribly. But not everyone can always get away, although they are carefully hiding behind monitors.
The team in the St. Petersburg office (as, indeed, in the Estonian, which we will discuss later), was selected and continues to be chosen very carefully.
All candidates undergo a rigorous preliminary selection, a personal interview with the head of the department, pass a test task, and in the final - an interview with the general director.
By the way, our corporate tricolor. That is, three flags - Russian, Estonian and corporate.
We sincerely believe that working as a support specialist is not always just the start of a career, it is often a vocation and a permanent profession.
A support is the face of the company, the first line, and we are sure that it is support that is often undeservedly deprived in provider companies attention and care. And, of course, we are trying to fix it.
In addition to compulsory professionalism and the ability to quickly learn and teach, an employee should be a bit of a philosopher, a bit of a psychologist, have ninja reaction, Kaa's wisdom and mother Teresa's patience. However, more about this, we will tell in other articles on Habré
We sincerely support a healthy lifestyle, so employees who spoil their health by smoking spend daily warm-ups for other colleagues.

Every day (even on weekends) hot food is delivered to the office from a certified organization, which was selected by a long total test drive from many suppliers of meals available in St. Petersburg to offices.
Every day, employees can choose from over 50 dishes in any combinations and with any number of servings (important for those who stay up late in the office).
There are, of course, dietary and even lean menu options for those who are relevant.
However, sometimes we cook ourselves.
Including on nature during joint trips. Oh, sorry, this is not about the office somehow :)
A small dining room allows you to escape from work at last and relax, chat with colleagues, and sometimes hold a quick meeting.
In FastVPS are already preparing for the New Year. And although everyone understands that the Year of the Blue Horse promises horse efforts and the corresponding complexion, this does not alter the festive mood at all.
Under the Christmas tree are real gifts. For children of employees. Before the New Year, we will organize a small show for the kids.
And here on the right are gift sets for the employees themselves and their families. It was impossible to hide them, there will be no surprise, but we are sure that all the same it will be nice for everyone.
The workplace of the support employee is equipped in accordance with the approved standard - 16 GB RAM, multi-core processor, SSD disk, two or more monitors, if necessary.
The administrative department strictly monitors the purity of the main working tools - mice and keyboards, worn out or too dirty - are mercilessly replaced with new ones.
Employees, of course, can use their own or order specials, if it is convenient for them.
Here you can relax or chat after a hearty lunch.
Or massage a tired body on a massage relax chair, reading written IT magazines or books from a mini-library, the composition of which is determined by the employees themselves.
To raise the tone, there is billiards, which, according to Mayakovsky, “grows an eye”. Billiard table simple coup turns into air hockey.
And you can just play the X-box alone or with colleagues, because a man of any age is still a boy!
In general, a professional, cheerful young team works in FastVPS.
For seven years, FastVPS has already acquired some traditions.

Such a small tour turned out, however, our office is also not the largest, but we believe that everything is still ahead!
