DHL Express announced the delivery of urgent goods by drones-robots

Just a week ago, we learned that Amazon was going to introduce a new delivery method — using drones. Today it became known about the intention of DHL to introduce a similar service. At the same time, the company plans to deliver not all goods using robotic aircraft, so far it is an urgent supply of medicines to customers.

In the demo, the drone delivered medicine from the Rhine to the company's headquarters in Bonn. The flight took about two minutes, moreover, the robot was controlled by operators, and not automatic. According to the developers, this was done for greater accuracy, since the "autopilot" is still being finalized.

In Germany, the company will have to obtain a number of permits from the relevant authorities and services in order to be able to use air transport. In addition, it is not yet known exactly when DHL Express is going to introduce a new delivery method.
