At the end of the outgoing year, we decided to continue the successful tradition and collected for you the 10 most interesting recruiting videos of this year. With their help, employers (but not only) try to get newbies and pros to their team. During the selection process, we were guided by two simple criteria: the video should be publicly available and be released in 2013.
The selection turned out to be very diverse: the top ten included video from Wildflower cafe, Beeline, SpareFoot online search service for places to store, hipster video from the developer of Wooga games, hot video of Australian nightclub Marquee, inspiring action from the Santa University rowing team -Barbars and patriotic drama from the US Foreign Ministry. Of course, it was not without the traditionally tough commercials of the Canadian Special Forces and the American police.
And let's begin, perhaps, with the video from SpareFoot - an exotic online service for finding places for storing everything and everyone, which argues on the craziness with last year's creation from Kixeye. The HR on the Hummer and the guy with the electric collar around his neck set the atmosphere perfectly. Interestingly, they still let someone to the bar and dish with the pig? ')
Heineken
Heineken's most popular recruiting video of the year. On the same field recently played LG, but there was about TVs and a joke, and here about work, football and for real.
Beeline
The phrase “icon on the desktop”, written on the back of a CD with Cyril and Methodius encyclopedia, evoked similar associations in 1997. So grandmother is still great, orientated. The video, on the idea, should be nice, and, surprisingly, this is how it turned out. At the end of the video address joe site "Beeline" in Yekaterinburg. If it was done there for a local audience, then it’s doubly cool.
If you were bread, what kind of bread would you be? The video about ordinary Americans who work in a bakery-diner, consider themselves one big family and are satisfied with the local party in their honor. Simply, of course, but sincerely, it is captivating. "And I am the bread ..."
Hillsboro police
The movie of the Hillsboro town police turned out to be funny and kind. Everything is there: the local despicable Dwayne is behind the grating of a police car, looking after no one to run away, and the man "hey, check first if the door is open before knocking it out," and a sniper (for some reason more like a military man) in the bushes, and a cool macho cop, somewhat reminiscent of Dany McCoy from the TV series Las Vegas. This year, police departments from a dozen American cities shot their recruiting videos, but this is the most worthy of all.
Wooga
The video from the Berlin company Wooga, creating toys for mobile devices and social networks, turned out to be pleasant, but somewhat "hipstovy" (due to the polaroid and bearded guide, probably). In any case, the atmosphere in the office, the cool cuisine is well conveyed. At the same time there is nothing difficult in it - most Russian companies can do the same, but for some reason they do something quite different .
Marquee
If it was an office, it would be boring. But this is a nightclub with all the consequences. Unexpectedly, the standard first-person scheme “I work very well in this company, we have a very strong team” started playing with new colors, if you know what we are talking about :)
Canadian Special Forces
Last year, Canadian security services burned , releasing a series of recruiting videos. This year, the special forces were brought up. Only everything is simpler: more action, fewer words. The message, unfortunately, remains unchanged: go to us - play a lot. Probably because the target audience is like that.
UCSB Crew
It turns out that recruiting videos are filmed not only by the company, but also by sports teams. For example, the rowing team of the University of California at Santa Barbara made a very decent video: brutal and dynamic.
US Department of Foreign Affairs
The commercial of the American Ministry of Foreign Affairs begins as a thriller, but then you realize that it will be more like a drama. Hard work for patriotic US citizens, with a university degree that cannot stay at home.
Bonus Tracks
Outside the competition , we had three videos, which we could not miss. The first is from Intel, which did not make it to the shortlist of this year, because it was released several years ago. The second - from the world-famous British unemployed Adam Pacitti does not fit into our format, because it was shot by the “other side” - the applicant. By the way, Adam has already found a job, which, in general, is not surprising. The third is a serenade to the former employer from Steve Harvey, who is very beautiful and melodiously retired from the coffee shop.
