Apparently, in late February, not particularly demanding and thrifty buyers (at least in the UK, for starters) will be able to purchase an Elonex One laptop, the price of which will be £ 100. Of course, if the marketing promises of the manufacturer will be close to reality.

However, everything can be. Even an adequate price of 100 pounds for a laptop. The fact is that Elonex One is built on the basis of the photo frame. It is enough to attach a keyboard and a laptop to it. Of course, the filling of the “laptop” leaves much to be desired: X86-compatible Aday5F processor at 300 MHz, 256 MB of RAM, 2 GB of flash memory as a hard drive and a 7-inch screen with a resolution of 800 × 480 pixels.
The Elonex One will optionally (plus £ 20 to the cost) be equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11b / g and a webcam. The basic equipment guarantees only the availability of 10/100 Mbps Ethernet and two USB 2.0 / 1.1 ports. With a slight stretch, even such hardware can satisfy the needs of users in simple Internet surfing, listening to music and watching videos, as well as in working by mail and chatting on ICQ.
Notebook dimensions are 230 × 146 × 33 mm, and weight - 950 grams (this is with the keyboard). It uses a 2200 mAh battery. There is a suspicion that it will be enough for the eyes. The subnotebook will be running Linux version 2.6.21.
