Freelance - good or evil?
I want to ask the habrasoobschestvuu: freelance useful for the developer?
The goal is to find a third-party opinion about what is more promising: stable office work or freelancing.
Parameters evaluated:
1. money
2. interest,
3. professional growth,
4. convenience.
My point of view
1. Money can be made and on a permanent job in the office from 9 to 18, and freelancing at home. Would a good programmer :)
2. It seems that freelancers are unlikely to fully participate in a large and interesting project. True and not everyone has it, working in a regular office.

3. If a person is an idiot, then he can work even at home, even in the office, even on the moon. In most cases, will remain an idiot. But in my opinion, if a person cooks a bowler hat, then at least at the initial stage, working in a team at the office will lead to much greater growth as a professional. Too much I interviewed freelancers with 5 years of homework experience and no experience at all in companies that could think logically, but with large gaps in knowledge and lack of skills.
4. I hate to shuffle to work by 9 am :) Freelance makes it easier to manage your time, and therefore you can spend more time with your family, hobbies, etc. etc. Anyone who programs quickly can generally do 3-4 hours of work per day and receive the same money.

Additional 2 As the voting shows, 2/3 of the developers have a permanent job, and half of them are freelance in their spare time. The rest were divided into 2 almost equal categories: those who are freelance, and those who work for a UFO :)
