On Habré, the Mars rover “Curiosity”, which is also working diligently on the Red Planet, has ceased to be mentioned at all lately. It is understandable - after all, the success of the rover is constant, well, plus to everything, now the device is in a transit stage, so to speak, and then a new stage of research will begin in a new location. However, in the past few days, a trouble has happened to the rover - a serious electrical system failure that caused Curiosity to stop working.
The failure was fixed 10 days ago, on November 17, 2013. The rover support team received diagnostic information from the device, which allowed them to make a disappointing conclusion: the failure was caused by a short circuit. Of course, the work of the rover had to urgently stop.

A little later, it was concluded that not everything is as serious as the experts initially thought. The closure most likely occurred inside the radioisotope battery of the device, and this is not as dangerous as it could have been in a different situation. In the battery, thermal energy is converted into electrical energy, and experts believe that such a short circuit cannot damage the device itself.
Well, today there is information that the rover has fully recovered and started working again. Well, with this event you can congratulate all of us, because Curiosity can still learn a lot and transfer the most valuable information to Earth.
