ATLAS robot demonstrates walking over rough terrain.

On Habré, news about the ATLAS humanoid robot created by DARPA specialists has been published more than once. Previously, this robot walked on scattered stones, and showed how it can balance on one foot. Now the robot has shown how it can move on “rough terrain”, which was modeled using wooden bars, a rope bay, pebbles and other things.

As it was written earlier, this robot is designed to work in rather difficult conditions, for example, in case of natural disasters. The robot will be able to help the rescuers, and thanks to its human-like form, it can be transported in normal transport, plus the robot can use the tools that people use.
