The PHDays IV forum will be dedicated to finding new recipes for survival in cyberspace
The International Forum on Practical Safety Positive Hack Days IV will be held May 21 and 22, 2014 at the Digital October techno center. The full-scale preparation of the event that won the ratings, received awards and deserved quite a few kind words from the security community professionals is in full swing.
Next year, PHDays will be held for the fourth time and will be devoted to new problems that business, the state and private individuals have had to face due to the rapid development of science and technology. ')
By tradition, guests and participants of PHDays will have a large number of reports and workshops from the world's leading information security experts, round tables, as well as various competitions and demonstrations.
Possible ways of civilization development
The main issues that the organizers plan to discuss at Positive Hack Days IV, - go beyond the purely technical. What technologies can be used to track and ensure anonymity? Where are the boundaries between the freedom of a citizen and the state’s right to self-defense? What does the near future prepare for us in terms of detecting new vulnerabilities? What are the new security trends in ICS, mobile devices and the Internet?
How to become a speaker?
PHDays IV Call For Papers is already open. Applications are being considered from both recognized experts in the field of information security and from novice researchers. All details about the format and rules of participation, a list of topics that are most interesting to us for reports, as well as instructions for submitting an application are published on the PHDays website .
Young Scientists Contest
Young researchers in the field of information security can become PHDays speakers by taking part in a competition organized by the forum organizers for several years. The competition is intended for students, graduate students and independent young scientists.
This year the format of the competition has undergone some changes: a correspondence match between specialists from Russia and representatives of other countries was introduced into it. This innovation will help increase the level of competition, increase the intensity of the struggle, revive the storyline of the competition and give rise to productive rivalry between the best modern schools and trends in the field of information security. The organizers will help the winners of the competition to come to Moscow and provide the best conditions for participating in the forum.

CTF qualifying competition
Very little time remains until the start of the PHDays IV CTF qualifying competitions, the winners of which will arrive in Moscow next May to participate in the final battle of hackers. Currently, only one member of the CTF final is known: this is the SecurityFirst team from Sung Chong Hyan University (Seoul), which consists entirely of girls, who won the CTF at the Power of Community 2013 conference .

In December, the sale of tickets for Positive Hack Days IV will begin. Register for participation in the forum and pay for the ticket on the event website .
From December to March, the ticket price will be 9,600 rubles. for two days and 7 300 rub. for one day of the event. After March 1, the ticket price will rise to 13,700 rubles. for two days and 9 600 rub. for one. Those who fail to come to Moscow these days will be able to join the forum participants remotely in one of the hacker locations participating in the traditional PHDays Everywhere initiative.
