The Gaim 2.0 Internet Pager, the fourth beta version of which was released last week, features a streamlined interface (see
overview and screenshots ). It no longer supports the Gadu-Gadu and Napster protocols by default, but still works with AIM, Yahoo !, MSN, Groupwise, IRC and Zephyr.
Gaim users can be connected to several networks simultaneously, and each of them has the ability to transfer files, send notifications, select sound themes and icons, and use additional plug-ins. In addition, a separate menu item is created for each account, containing all options for this account. The boot window disappeared in Gaim 2.0 - the pager will independently launch the last service the user worked with.
The final release of Gaim 2.0 should take place as soon as possible.
