I have long replaced light bulbs in the hallway, bathroom and toilet with excellent
Foxline and
Flexled LED light bulbs. In the kitchen, I am quite satisfied with the "energy-saving" compact fluorescent lamps from Ikea (4x11 watts).
But in two living rooms everything is more complicated: firstly, both chandeliers use candle lights with an E14 base, and secondly, there are
Univex switches with remote control and brightness control in both rooms.
Once in the spring on Aliexpress I came across the only seller with high power dimmable LED candles - 9W. I thought that in the nine-watt Chinese there should be at least five honest watts and bought these bulbs. Alas, less than 10 pieces they did not sell. Light bulbs cost me $ 3.52 each:

')
The size of the bulb is slightly larger than ordinary incandescent bulbs.
There are three LEDs in the bulb. If you believe the Chinese, each rated at 3W.
The whole bulb unscrews. In the basement - dimmable driver.
Of course, no 9 watts are there. When turned on, the bulb consumes 5.1 watts, but as it heats up, consumption decreases to 4.2 watts. According to my measurements, the luminous flux of a bulb was 262 Lm (for a typical 40-watt candle bulb, 400 Lm), so the bulb is slightly brighter than a 25-watt incandescent lamp. The method of measuring the luminous flux is described
here . Most likely the light bulbs on four LEDs, 12 Chinese watts, will have a real power of about 6 watts and give almost as much light as a regular 40-watt light bulb. I ordered a pair of 12W bulbs from two different vendors. Coming soon - we'll see.
Alas, despite the dimmable driver, the light is flickering. And the flicker the stronger, the lower its brightness. The minimum brightness of the bulb during dimming is about 30%.
Light bulbs are significantly whiter than incandescent bulbs. Not without reason, the Chinese write Warm White 3000-3500K, despite the fact that the color temperature of the incandescent lamp is 2700K.
The radiator of the bulb heats up to a temperature above 60 degrees - the hand is very hot.
Here is a comparison of the LED light bulb (top) and the usual 40-watt candle (bottom) in the photo tube. Shooting options are the same. In the pictures, the light of LED bulbs turned out green. In reality, almost no green shade - they are just whiter than usual.
Comparison in the bathroom fixture. Above - an LED candle, from below - an ordinary 40W bulb.
The main comparison is in one of the chandeliers for which the light bulbs were intended. From above - six 4.2 W LED candles, from below - six 40 W incandescent lamps.
I measured the illumination in the four points of the room (on the floor under the chandelier, on the table, in the center of two walls). The average illumination with LED lighting turned out to be 40 Lm, when illuminated with ordinary incandescent lamps - 58 Lm.
Due to the fact that the light bulbs are not opaque, ugly stains are visible on the ceiling. The cap of the light bulbs is plastic, so with the help of the pelt I made the transparent bulbs frosted.
The result was very good: on top of all the light bulbs are transparent, the bottom one - matte.
I tried to install in the chandelier three ordinary light bulbs and three LED frosted. It turned out not bad - there is enough light, the overall color tone is quite comfortable. The average illumination of the room turned out 45 Lm.
But when dimming, LED lights shine much brighter than usual. In the photo the maximum dimming.
In this form, the chandelier worked for more than three months. During this time, one driver's driver died. By the way, one more of ten light bulbs had a slightly greenish light (this can be seen in the pictures), another one was slightly burning when the light was turned off, and all the light bulbs in the chandelier were LED.
Of course I can not recommend such replacement light bulbs. They have only one advantage - energy saving, and a lot of disadvantages:
• Insufficient brightness;
• uncomfortable color;
• Flicker;
• Not deep enough dimming.
• Ugly stains on the ceiling because of the transparent ceiling.
I am also forced to note that of the 11 different nameless light bulbs purchased in China, not one was immaculate. They all had various disadvantages.
