to Vedomosti . The general director of the holding, Rafael Akopov, says that the deal to buy 100% of the shares of the television company has not yet been closed, but is nearing completion. The parties are now waiting for permission from the antimonopoly service.
For the holding, according to its management, this is “another step towards business diversification and strengthening positions in the promising television market.” The amount of the transaction was not officially disclosed, but it is known that in spring the TV company cost $ 550 million - this is the upper estimate of UBS Bank, which prepared TV-3 for an IPO.
According to TNS Gallup Media, in the first half of the year, the TV-3 audience was 2.3% of all people in the country older than four years. The television station has 23 stations that broadcast in more than 250 cities of Russia. According to experts, this year TV-3 revenues will be approximately $ 50 million, and EBITDA - $ 25 million.
