Sony PlayStation 4 Full review
The release of the new generation of PlayStation is definitely one of the most important events of the year. Consoles are updated less frequently. Previous PlayStation 3 was released seven years ago in 2006 and sold in the amount of 90 million units. In the US, PS4 sales have already begun, and as usual, the guys from iFixit first disassembled the console to look inside and evaluate its maintainability.

Removing the cover, we see a hard disk from HGST (Western Digital) with a capacity of 500 GB, 5400 RPM, SATA II. HDD keeps only 1 screw. You can replace the hard drive yourself. Disk requirements: thickness up to 9.5 mm and a volume of at least 160 GB. Unfortunately, PS4 does not support external drives via USB, which limits the use of the console as a media center.
Peel off the warranty stickers and unscrew the torx-screws.
As you can see, for cooling the radiator meets the 85-mm fan, designed specifically for the PS4.
The massive power supply is located at the rear of the console and is a separate module. The power supply is universal, works in the range from 100 to 240V.
After removing the power supply, a lot of space is freed up in the case and the cooling system radiator appears to the overview.
