DDR4 will be available next month.

Apparently, DDR4 modules will come out earlier than expected. One of the manufacturers, Crucial Memory, posted on its website a message that the new generation RAM will be released before the end of 2013. Since only one month is left this year, DDR4 modules will be available no later than December.







It should be noted that DDR4 has a significantly higher performance than the current DDR3 memory.



In particular, due to the improved technical process, the memory density per module increases fourfold, which allows up to 16 GB of memory per module. The minimum clock frequency is doubled: 2133 MHz instead of 1066 MHz. In addition, DDR4 requires a 20% lower supply voltage during operation (1.2 V instead of 1.5 V), so that, in general, the memory consumption will decrease by about 20%.

In addition, DDR4 provides for the transfer of data at speeds two times higher than that of DDR3. This means faster application downloads, faster data downloads and faster multitasking. Any electronics - not only personal computers, but also smartphones with tablets - will start working faster than they do now, and the operating time from a single battery charge will increase.
