In late October, the first Samsung Developer Conference 2013 was held in San Francisco, at which many interesting technologies were presented. Slides from the event can be found here . It was presented at the conference, and on November 12, the Samsung MultiScreen SDK became available for developers - we will tell about it today.
Samsung MultiScreen is a platform that makes it easy to connect mobile devices with Smart TV devices, seamlessly streaming content from a mobile device or the cloud to a TV screen. The Samsung MultiScreen SDK allows developers to create a true multi-screen experience for gaming, multimedia content, social networking and more. ')
Samsung MultiScreen SDK allows you to display content (html or media files) on top of the main image of the TV, control the functions of the TV and organize the interaction between applications on both devices. Development is available for Android , iOS and Javascript .
Distinguish from ChromeCast's approach in that apps have different content and can interact with each other. The creator of the Samsung MultiScreen SDK, Juan Pablo Gnecco, calls this approach "glass-to-glass".
Samsung MultiScreen SDK technology will work on all Smart TV 2014 and Smart TV TVs of the current year after the firmware upgrade. The final version of the Samsung MultiScreen SDK will be presented in the first quarter of 2014.
