Sony plans to start selling digital paper DPT-S1. This device is intended to replace paper technology and is aimed at the market of solutions for universities and companies. Distinctive features of the e-book are a large screen size and a small thickness, coupled with a long time. The characteristics of the new device are quite interesting. First of all, it is worth noting the flexible touch display E-Ink Mobius (16 shades of gray) with a diagonal of 13.3 "and a resolution of 1600x1200 pixels. Included is a stylus for handwriting input. The internal memory is 4Gb of which 2.8Gb is available, there is an additional slot microSD with support for cards up to 32Gb (FAT file system). Wireless communications are represented by Wi-Fi standard IEEE 802.11b / g / n. Dimensions are quite small 233x310x6.8 mm. Weight with a battery is only 358 g. two or three weeks depending intensity of use or 24000 pages. The main format with which the DPT-S1 works is PDF, it is possible to create notes in this format. It is worth noting that the hard plastic case negates the advantages of the flexible screen.
