Tesla is going to build its own battery factory

Tesla , led by Elon Muskom, has long been planning to transfer electric vehicles from a relatively rare phenomenon (depending on which countries, of course) to the mainstream. And if so, then electric vehicles need to be built more than now, since the demand for them is steadily growing. For Tesla, as far as can be understood, the “bottleneck” of production is the battery. Yes, they require a lot, and the manufacturers with which Tesla cooperates, do not have time to cope with orders. And the company is going to establish its own production of batteries.

The industrial complex, which is planned to be built, will have to use a maximum of alternative energy sources, and not harm the environment, and not use toxic elements. Of course, to carry out such a plan is a difficult, if at all feasible task, but Elon Musk is not going to retreat.

Batteries of the old type will be transformed into something new, in production, the size of which (probably, performance and not geometrical dimensions are meant) will be comparable to the total size / power of all productions of Li-Ion batteries from all over the world.

Interestingly, Tesla made a similar statement after it updated the deal with Panasonic, a Japanese company that manufactured batteries for the customer's electric cars before. The deal provides for a four-year extension. During this time, Panasonic is committed to deliver 2 billion (!) New Li-Ion cells, for use in Model S and Model X.

In addition, Musk said that his company is likely to enter into contracts for the production of batteries with other manufacturers.

With regard to information about its own production, then, according to the same Elon Mask, it is not yet time to go into details. But, knowing the ability of this person to implement his plans, there is no doubt that what has been said will be fulfilled. And do not forget that earlier Tesla patented a hybrid battery, which is enough for 640+ kilometers
