Neurocam: iPhone as an analog of Google Glass?

For those who do not want to change their favorite iPhone to the new-fashioned Google Glass glasses, an unusual solution has appeared.

The Japanese company Neurowear has developed a device called Neurocam. This gadget is worn on the head and registers brain activity with the help of integrated sensors.

Depending on the parameters of the received signal, brain waves are assigned from 0 to 100 points. If the result exceeds 60 points, the device automatically activates the video, saving a 5-second video in GIF format. As planned by the developers, Neurocam will not let you miss the memorable moment that provoked the user's increased brain activity.

In the current version, the gadget uses an iPhone smartphone, which is attached to the side of the Neurocam, for processing signals, storing records and shooting. Of course, so far a new device is just a concept. It is unlikely that someone really wants to wear a smartphone attached behind the ear in everyday life. Nevertheless, the new technology is of great interest, for example, for manufacturers of augmented reality glasses.

In the future, Neurowear intends to use its own electronic components instead of the iPhone. About when and at what price the novelty can go on sale, not reported.

Neurocam is not the first Neurowear toy that reacts to brain activity. The brain-controlled tail of Shippo and the Necomimi cat-ears controlled by the power of thought received great fame.
