Cambridge University brought together all the works of Charles Darwin and put them on the Internet. Now everyone gets the opportunity to get acquainted with the works of the British scientist, including previously unpublished diaries and manuscripts.
The site darwin-online.org.uk offers to your attention about 50 thousand pages of text, as well as a huge number of images and audio files, the first editions of the world-famous essays "The Origin of Man", "Research Diary" and "The Origin of Species". In addition, Darwin’s notebook stolen in the 1980s was published, with which the scientist traveled around the Galapagos Islands.
Currently about 50% of all available materials are posted on the Web. All the works of Charles Darwin will be presented on the pages of the new resource by 2009.
