Since January 2008, a special “access system” has been installed in some public toilets in Finland. Now, in need of a hurrying Finn, in order to get to the treasured restroom, you will have to send an SMS with the text “open” to the number indicated on the door. This is done to protect public places from vandals.
Understandably, a fee is charged for SMS. True, without any allowances for the very use of a public bathroom. This is in Finland, it seems, free.
