There will be no anonymity among Chinese bloggers

The Chinese Internet Society, an organization funded by the Ministry of Information Policy of the People's Republic of China, recommended that the authorities adopt a special law that would block bloggers from using real names when registering blogs.

The organization recommends prohibiting the use of pseudonyms (nicknames) when registering a blog. At the same time, posting will be allowed under a pseudonym.

“The adoption of this standard is vital for the Chinese Internet, as it will significantly help in the development of the blogosphere,” reports state news agency Xinhua , citing the head of the Internet Society. “We appealed to the ministry with a request to accept the“ real name system ”as an Internet standard. Anonymous bloggers who publish inaccurate information harm society. ”
