How to raise IT-education in Russia

For several months, the topic of IT education among users of Habr has been highly discussed.

I am also concerned about the quality of IT education in Russia. Because I am constantly engaged in self-education, but the system is not enough. Published articles on the Internet, " IT education of my dreams " and " Imitation " are suggestive of what should be an education program.

From what I read, I concluded that the rescue of the drowning handwork of the drowning themselves.
In some universities, Russia can still give a decent education. But, firstly, not everyone can enroll in such universities, and secondly from the article “ Imitation ”, I realized that soon they would not be able to provide a decent education in these universities. And those many who are trying to educate themselves often lack the map on which they can navigate “how and where to go .
')
But it is not all that bad. It turns out there is an association ACM . This association has been operating for more than a decade and has been following the development of the IT industry. In accordance with this, it draws up Training Plans for (future) information technology workers. Because The information technology industry includes several areas ; these recommendations explain what a particular area is . And also recommended an appropriate training program, including one or another set of disciplines for study.

Study plans in English. And I propose to create an initiative group that will translate these manuals into Russian. What will help make the information more accessible to the Russian IT segment. I propose to start the translation with the first introductory document Computing Curricula 2005: The Overview Report . Everyone who wants to connect to the translation, please leave a comment in this post . You can translate according to the scheme "for each person in charge . " I can take on coordinating functions for the translation.
