Today, at breakfast, I turned on the first channel and got to the debate of presidential candidates. Zhirinovsky, Zyuganov and Bogdanov were having a conversation.
Since I didn’t really want to listen to politics in the morning, I wanted to switch, when
the head of the democratic party, Bogdanov, said something at the expense of his modern spirit and ranked himself among the number of the young future generation. And he invited everyone to take part in a conversation on his website.
I found this site, which turned out to be a personal diary in the livejournal.
Honestly, I don’t really sympathize with Andrei Bogdanov, so I didn’t read or search for anything on his pages.
So why am I writing all this?
I thought about the idea that the Internet and social networks (of course specialized, and not a part of something) can be a good public relations tool in elections. It seems that the first one realized the use of the daily web of Bogdanov, which is progressing on a daily basis (if not, then correct and set an example).
What is the reason? Most likely the reason for this is predictability and predetermination, which is incorporated in the heads of Russian citizens at the moment. The “Yeltsin system” of the continuity of the course not only works well, but, most importantly, suits the population.
After a while, the Internet can turn into a well-tuned campaign mechanism. In time, the Internet may turn into places for black methods of eliminating competitors (for example, spam: if you regularly receive emails calling for voting for Vasya Pupkin, then the reaction will probably be the opposite). It may be thought up a voting system via the Internet, without leaving home, etc. etc.
But probably my post went into a series of fantasies, so I’m rounding out and summarizing.
Political structures do not fully use the possibilities of new technologies. Good or bad - is unknown.
