Orkut social network has opened for everyone
To register on the social network Orkut no longer need an invitation . From now on, all Google Account holders will be able to use the services of the online community.
The Orkut project was launched in 2004 almost simultaneously with the Gmail mail service. It took Google about two years to realize that the presence of invitations negatively affects the popularity of the social network. Although today in the ranks of Orkut there are about 30 million users, but more than 60% of the participants live in Brazil. In the US market, the service is significantly inferior to the MySpace portal, the registration in which was open to all from the very beginning.
