This is a remake (heir, son and descendant) of Microblog (Microblog 1.1.5).

Synopsis: Compact, minimalistic and smart blog engine in php.

Undemanding: Works without mysql and additional server modules.

Transparency: Understandable and concise. The engine core is just a few pages (~ 400 lines) of code.

Minimalism: The basic distribution of Mosquito in zip takes 35 kb.

Cross-country travel: Equally well goes on both paid and free hosting (only php 4 is needed).

Functionality: Extends with additional plugins. The design is really easy to set up (on the fly).

Openness: Mosquito belongs to the genus Open Source scripts. Licensed under the GNU GPL.

Mosquito ideology: “less is more”: -j or if it tells you something.

So says a review on the developer's site. For me personally, this is an easily modifiable and clear blogging engine, with good design and gentlemen’s plugins - the odds for Wordpress {IMHO} will be obvious.
