WCP: Xeus IM

Hey. I am new to Habrahabr. I am not writing to overtake someone or earn more balls. Thanks to Habrahabr, I learned a lot of useful things, but behind all the publications and discussions there are people and I decided to tell you that you do not know yet. From now on, I will divide all my posts into two groups - WCP (world class publishing) and SS (some stuff). I'm Alex =)

So, now many Russians are switching to Jabber, in my opinion this is due to the growth in terms of the average user’s web. But for many newbies, IM poses a problem. The essence of this post (that's what I'm talking about) is not news, but just bringing to consciousness, because this IM is not new. It is distributed as Open Source (GPL2 +).

Tactical and technical characteristics aka usability and functionality

Xeus is a classic and seasoned IM, when working with it there is no feeling that something is missing, that something can be improved.
Xeus is a harmony of interface and function usability.

All its setup is reduced to several banal operations of filling out forms or registration. Easily Russified in 30 minutes. You can customize the type of contacts - small, middle, advanced. It works great with chat rooms, transport and everything (SSL, TSL, compression).
