Application rejects in AppStore

Apple Review Guidelines are quite detailed, but applications are checked by real people and often interpret the rules differently.

I suggest in the comments to tell about your application reductions and how you solved them.

Required Login

Stream application for the purchase of the film requested to login or register. Login acted email.

Apple rejected the application with the note:

17.2 Appointments of personal information, such as email address

Facebook, skype, Instagram and the like are being skipped because they cannot function without being tied to the user, but the purchase of a movie is in no way dependent on the account, you can restore the purchase through standard mechanisms, you don’t need a login.

Solution options:
- replace email with abstract login
- make the input optional with a note what advantages it will give the user

We went the second way, you can buy movies without a login.

Our case is not unique, bulbax told about a similar story with their application. Be careful with the required login.

Press on the screenshots

The application Smart Press was rejected because of the photo of the male abdomen in the screenshots, the authors had to paint it.

The press contradicts this point.

3.6 Apps for the 4+ age rating will be rejected

The icon and screenshots of your application should be acceptable for children of 4 years (and here the press is still not clear).

Be careful with women in bathing suits in the screenshots.

Bribing user

Dmitry said that in their lite-version of the book it was possible to read only a third of the pages - the rest could be both easy to buy and unlock in a few steps: Send a post to fb (+ 30 pages), send a tweet (+30 pages), leave a review in the stack (+ 30 pages).

The application was blocked with the note "bribing the user", we had to abandon this scheme.
