Russian designer Artemy Lebedev reported in the LiveJournal about the start of sales of the Optimus Popularis keyboard.

The project, according to Lebedev, "is so complicated and expensive that no one else in the world does anything like it."


The retail price in Russia is 41,500 rubles.

Official information:

"Optimus Popularis" is a compact keyboard, in which each key displays any image and performs any function.

"Optimus Popularis" is suitable for any keyboard layouts - Cyrillic, Ancient Greek, Georgian, Arabic and then to infinity: notes, numbers, special characters, codes, functions, images, and more.

Also available are possible modifications: Abracadabra Grandmother Arab Photoshop Russian color English-Russian Russian English Hebrew. But, of course, every user has the right to customize it for themselves.




At the top of the keyboard (between the numbers and function keys) there is a special customizable screen area for displaying important information. The Fn button in the lower left corner works as a modifier - shows the buttons, usually located on the wide keyboards on the right
