A new issue of
the User And Linux magazine has been released today, which is a bit unexpected after a long break. Nevertheless, the magazine contains quite recent news, interesting reviews of software, hardware, games, and informative articles for both beginners and advanced users. I am glad that the style of the journal has practically not changed: there is still very little advertising, and the articles contain really useful information that will not allow to postpone this reading in a large box after scrolling over breakfast.
In the news a lot of attention is devoted to third-party mobile operating systems Ubuntu and FirefoxOS: it is clear that the systems are trying to break into the market, albeit with varying success. Reviews of games, as always, are bright and addictive to one or another game; it is from these sources that I find out that such games exist at all and can be run on Linux.
From technical articles, you can learn how to create binary packages with CheckInstall, set up a rebellious HP LaserJet M1132, fight with processes, reset the root password, and much more.
The release turned out to be quite interesting, the publication becomes more informative and useful with each release. Among the shortcomings, I note the terrible pictures in the PDF version: this problem has been dragging on for a long time and is still not solved. Nevertheless, I wish the authors of the articles creative success, and readers a pleasant reading.
