Across the Universe will sound in the open spaces of the universe

On February 5, at midnight GMT, NASA will begin broadcasting a Beatles song called Across the Universe into the deep space network using the antenna system of the Deep Space Network . The transmission will be in the direction of the polar star, which is at a distance of 431 light years from Earth.

With this, the American Space Agency is going to celebrate several significant events at once: the 50th anniversary of the founding of NASA, the 50th anniversary of the launch of the first American satellite Explorer 1 , the 45th anniversary of the founding of the Deep Space Network and the 40th anniversary of the recording of the famous Liverpool fourth song Across the Universe.

Paul McCartney has already responded to this NASA initiative with the words “Super! Great, NASA "and added:" My best wishes to the aliens. All the best, Paul. ”
