iPhone 5S got a "blue screen of death"

Apple's new iPhone 5S pleased users with an unexpected feature: a BSOD, or a blue screen of death. BSOD is a typical error message of older versions of Windows, but many iPhone 5S users report unexpected restarts of their devices after a BSOD. The blue screen appears primarily because of the native Apple iWork apps. The video shows that reboots are caused by switching between applications, but users also report reboots during operation.

Apple released iOS 7.0.2 primarily to fix bugs with the lock screen security, but the update does not affect the issue of rebooting the device. In technical support forums several topics were created to draw attention to the problem. In addition, some Twitter users also expressed frustration on their blogs.

One way to fix reboots is disabling iCloud synchronization in Apple's Pages, Keynote and Numbers applications.
