Rewrite or not is the question

I tried to add my first blog to the “Web development” category, but smart people from Habra explained that my karmograph was not yet high enough. So I will be "smart." I'm not going to tell anyone anything new, but I will tell a rather ordinary story.

So, about 4 years ago I decided to make a game portal. I was still completely green then, because I did not get any education, I just read books and absorbed information from the Internet. At that time I didn’t even have my computer; I was sitting at the Internet club. Well, in general, the site certainly turned out lousy, but you could proudly say that he wrote from scratch himself without any engines.

Time passed, got a job as a programmer. Attendance of the site began to grow, which I actively helped not only with materials, but also adding new sections and chips, as well as correcting my gloomy “original” code in some places. My level was also growing up slowly, I began to delve into javascript / ajax, found out about templates and OOP ...

A couple of months ago, the site stepped over the bar to 25k unique / 300k hits per day. It looks fine, but the code at the moment is a hellish picture, looking at which you can see all my way as a programmer over the past few years. I will not even explain what is wrong there, I think everything is clear here and so.

And here we finally come to the most important thing! Recently, I am tormented by the idea that the whole thing needs to be rewritten to hell. And HTML, and PHP, and the database structure is redone. But since this is not a simple blog, and I’ve added a lot of things during this time, there’s a lot of work there.

On the one hand, it is a necessary thing. But my second, I whisper: “Listen, do not worry! After all, attendance is growing, visitors do not seem to complain, in principle, nothing slows down! So why waste your energy if you can forget a lot of new things during this time? ”

What would you do in my place?
